I was looking for a 24 hour gym since my work hours are the twilight shift between 2pm - 10pm.
24 hour fitness is a good gym with updated equipment and serval classes to choose from. The classes are my favorite as I workout best when lead by an instructor.
The treadmills could be upgraded as they tend to breakdown realitively quickly. The bathrooms could be touched up a bit as well.
Maintain weight and strength. I use the classes for cardio and free weights to maintain strength. Plenty of benches for additional weight lifting as well.
I've had three training sessions with a trainer. His guidance helped as surprisingly I was doing quite a number of exercises incorrectly.
Monthly subscription along with a sign up fee. Quite manageable price as this is a 24 hour gym, worth the cost.

the bodycombat instructor is great!
As a student at UT, the campus gym is always crowded with students and I wanted to get away from that.
Yes, I would recommend it. I like how it is 24 hours and I can come whenever I want.
Equipment could be cleaner. Many people do not clean the equipment after use.
My goals are to lose weight and the gym is helping me achieve that by cardio and weights.
I have not taken any group fitness classes or had experience with instructors.
The signup process was straightforward. I got to try the gym out for free before committing.
I always been a member of this gym since 2009. I like being able to go to the gym anytime you'd like and thats why i went.
I would definitely recommend joining, especially if your hours are tight around work
Nothing major to chance, expect cleaing up durring the night shifts
I just want to be able to get my daily work out in
Usually the night shift doesnt have instructors readily available.
It's fairly easy to sign up, all you have to do is show up and talk to a salesmen
I joined because I had already had a 24 membership when I moved from California. My membership lets me use any of the 24 Hour Fitness locations in Austin.
I would definitely recommend it based on the monthly membership. It's not very big, but it has a good amount of equipment and has something for everyone. There is wifi and the locker room is pretty clean.
Some of the equipment is outdated and needs to either be fixed or replaced.
I just want to stay healthy and fit. I like to switch up my workouts and this gym lets me do that based on their variety of equipment.
I have only had experience with trainers and in my experience they were very knowledgable and helpful based on my goals.
The sign up process was very easy and they presented the different options clearly. I did a 12 month commitment to get a better monthly price.
It was close to my house, and I wanted somewhere to play basketball.
Sure, it's really clean and the staff is friendly. And it's open 24 hours.
Would love it if they had a pool and a sauna -- aside from that, nothing.
I was just looking to stay fit and find a way to relieve stress -- the gym was perfect for those goals.
It was close to my old house, and they had a newly renovated basketball court.
Definitely. Love that it's open 24 hours. The people are really nice and helpful. It's a great location.
There's not a whole lot you can do about this, but it does get way too crowded at times. Would also LOVE a pool and sauna.
I was mostly trying to stay fit and have a stress reliever.
I paid for a full year upfront, so it added up to about $30/month. There was a $99 initiation fee.
