I joined planet fitness since i have heard very good things about this gym and it was very close to my home so i decided to give it a try.
Yes i would since there is are nice machines and nice staff. Never too crowded. Great prices. Free trainers. Overall pretty great gym
I enjoy coming to this gym. Every time I go the facility is clean and well taken care of. The equipment appears to be brand new, and if it's not, then it's been maintained very nicely. The prices at this gym are very reasonable, and just like they advertise, no "gymtimidation".
Have been coming here for years. And I waited years to see what I'd come across because, well, it seemed too good to be true right? Lol Super affordable, Cleanliness, respectful and smiling staff 24/7, plenty of equipment, machinery, industrial fans, PF music streaming, tv screens ranging with wide variety of popular channels including CNN, Univision, ESPN, etc., organized workout areas, wide wall mirrors, showers
The general managers were very friendly and nice. They were also considerate. Also the workers at the front desk were warm and friendly aswell.
The sign up process was very simple and there was no real commitment. Very easy, however, it was quite pricey but well worth the money.

-lots of eliptical machines, treadmills, & stairmaster machines
-I really like the water filter that's on the water fountain..just bring my empty water bottle & fill it up w/ the good stuff!
-really like the separate fast workout area..
-I really, really like how I feel comfortable to workout at PF..you see all types of people working out & it really does give me motivation oh & I just LOVE all the motivational sayings posted all around PF & even on the machines!
- have lots of disinfectant cleaning spray & paper towels around the gym for people to wipe down machines
Great place to get your workout done, although I recommend going in the morning. They have plenty of machines to use, good free weights, and decent cardio. Everything is always clean and the staff is friendly. This location can get a little busy sometimes, but that is to be expected.
Could be better:
-I wish they had hand sanitizer for us to use
- could use a bigger space due to the crowded ness. It needs more spaced room or to take out equipment that NOBODY uses.
Used to use this gym on a regular basis for years the. I moved a way well I moved back to Austin and this is the closest. I've been a member at this gym for about two years now. Nice gym, nice staff. Nothing really to complain about til tonight. Went at 9 pm with a friend who is interested in joining.
instructors were great, staff was very friendly I think they even have friendly staff sometimes.Staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have.especially the managers, Joe and Desiree. I've had the need to visit with a manager a couple of times and both of these people made customer service a priority and I left there feeling valued and appreciated. I really appreciated being made to feel valued at this location.
-download the PF app..in the app you can link your gym membership card & when signing in I just show my gym membership barcode on my phone for the front desk to scan
In search of a nice vented and large enough room to feel comfortable while i practice my running indoors. I went to other gyms such as lifetime and golds and not vented enough, after entering and working out here, its been great.
I woulld, if you are interested in supplemntary work with functional training, you'd absolutley need a center such as this with a nice roomly area with proper lighting and a strong vented system to keep you cool and comfortable. Nothing immensley cold
The locker room could be a bit more accessible, the position of it makes it a walk to get to from the tread mills. and it also could have more water statios for those who get dehydrated without a water bottle.
I've made a lot of progress, previously i couldnt of ran 4 miles without breaking due to heat or over exhaustion and sweating too profusley. But here ive been able to calm my mind and pace my body to run farther , due to the environmnet of the gym.
Instructors have been worked with , but staff is very simple and dont intrude ever, so i approve.
SIgn up was simple, be sure to take your walk around the gym so see all amenities ! I highly suggest it and taking part here.
I joined because after high school, you arent given a designated time to workout anymore. You have to find out where to do that on your own time, this place was closest to me
I like this gym, the people here are friendly and help you with your workout if they see your form is wrong, there is everything from machines to weights to courts.
The machines arent cleaned off after people use them, adding a sign to remind people could improve the sanitation of the gym
Since joining i have seen i am able to do more than i was when i was little because i made and focused on my workout!
The staff always tried to push the trainers on you, but it is too expensive.
I joined online for a flat rate contract for 6 months. first and last month deposit and $15 a month.
I joined last year when Planet Fitness did this promotion where they drove around in a van handing out business cards.
Yes, i recommend it because this gym is basic and quiet. You can get workout in without being judge, people will even help you out.
Alot of the equipment is outdated so adding new equipment would help out alot!
I have been able to keep track of my weight and how i eat along with how many calorie i burn in a workout.
Theres this girl Kelly who really knows her stuff on how to lose weight here. I would recommend talking to her. She helped me come up with a diet plan and workout routine!
When you sign up you are required to make a deposit and a monthly payment for a year, and they keep the card on file.
I joined this gym because this summer I was not eligible to workout at my university gym because I needed to be enrolled in summer classes.
I would recommend this gym because it is extremely affordable relative to the cost of other gyms in austin.
I would improve the cleanliness of Planet Fitness. Sometimes the machines are not well cleaned.
My goals is to increase my mass and add muscle. This gym is helping me achieve that by giving me a motivation to go to the gym and build muscle.
The extent of my interactions with instructors includes speaking with Jose Vera. He is very nice and welcoming.
During the summer there was a special promotion that I signed up for. I signed up for a no commitment membership which costed $15/month with a $30 startup fee.
Wanted a cheap membership without all the hassel of a long contract. I need very basic stuff to workout with
I would recommend it for someone who is on a budget, There is enough stuff for you to get a good workout
The amount of equipment could be better. for example more than 2 stair machines
my goals are to become more physically fit to lower my blood pressure and heart rate
i personally have not worked with any instructors. I havent attened any group classes, if they even have any
there was a one time charge of like $60 but then after that its just 10 a month. no commitment required.
Its the most cost efficient gym in town for those that are on budget but still want to live a healthy lifestyle
The cost is first and foremost. The gym isn't the fanciest but it gets the job done, The people that attend are there are looking to workout, no be seen working out. Very modest, confortable
They have pizza days which are nice but can be diet crushers. Not too sure if this is a good idea. The equipment is adequate and works well. No issues there
Living a healthy lifestyle, making it to the gym at least 4 times a week. Its never really that crowed which makes it easier.
I have not used any of their personal training yet.
They have month to month memberships. A $10, $20, and $30 all with different perks such as access to message tables.
Its the cheapest gym option around. For only $10 you have access to a full gym and message equipment. Regardless of how nice it is, you cant beat the price.
If someone is on a budget this is the best option for them. Its not the nicest gym but it gets the job done. If you can spend a little more a month then you might want to explore more options.
The gym is fairly clean, not a lot of work is needed there. It would be nice to have numbers on the weights but I believe this goes against their business model.
Weight loss. I do a lot of the elliptical equipment they have at Planet Fitness and its helping me reach my goal. I have dabbled with the free weights but not much.
I haven't used any personal training at Planet Fitness.
They have a few monthly payment options. The cheapest is $10, another for $20, and $30. Each come with different perks such as access to guest passes and massage equipment.
I joined so I'd have a place to run in any weather and for simple strength and stamina building workouts.
This place is clean, with friendly staff and plenty of equipment. The parking lot feels safe and it's easy to get on any machine you want within a few minutes.
Sometimes people camp out on the circuit training room equipment, but they'll usually move if you ask. There are unlimited classes but they are pretty basic.
I want to get stronger, improve my stamina and lose weight. I enjoy running but it's hard in hot or bad weather.
I've taken a few classes with the instructor, He's helpful and encouraging.
I had to agree to stay a member for at least a year or face a penalty. There are sometimes specials to get around this.
They are the cheapest gym around yet still have a nice variety of equipment to use. As someone who knows I'm not going to go to the gym more than a few times a week, this seemed like a good fit. Plus it is close to work.
Yes, for someone who just wants to stay fit but isn't a meat head this was a good choice.
A little more of a selection of weight machines would be nice, but all in all its a great gym.
My goals are pretty simple... don't get fat. I am not looking to body build or get a 6 pack. But staying fit is important to me. A gym membership helps me maintain this goal.
I have not yet tried any classes or hired a personal trainer.
Pretty minimal... its fairly straight forward with what you want to pay. I pay the $15 a month package but had to pay an initiation fee and an annual fee.
It was a cheap, air-conditioned gym that was on my drive home from work. A gym that I would see as I drive home, and feel bad if I don't go to it.
In short, a good guilt gym, that wasn't going to cost much.
I mean, it's about as cheap as it gets in gym terms. And the machines all seem to work, and it's not overly crowded. So yes, I'd recommend it.
The bathrooms are a bit overcrowded and have an odor to them. But we are talking a gym bathroom/locker room, so you can't really expect too much.
Losing weight! The gym really helps by being an air-conditioned facility in the deadly heat of this ridiculously hot state where there are some days that exercise outdoors is just a bad idea.
I haven't had interactions with any of the instructors, although they tell me that it's free. So that's nice.
They did try and make me sign up with a bank account, which I wasn't wanting to do. So I was able to sign up using two credit cards instead (a main one, and a backup one). So that works better for me.
I need to make something to change my life and I want to focus on my body and improve for the better habit
I love to watch news when I'm running. I can chat with trainers to see what I can improve for fitness.
I wish they could have add weight scale so I want to see how much I have lose pound and more cleaner for men locker room
My goal is to improve my body to get in shape. I hope this is my long term workout
You cannot beat the price, very affordable and the free trainer classes are a bonus.
Yes! The price is unbeatable. The hours of operation being 24 hours a day, 7 days a week makes this a great buy.
More availability of training sessions would improve the gym. .
My goals include weight loss as well as stress relief. The massage bed helps with the relaxation after a work out.
I have not used the trainer in a while, however, when I did, I could tell a difference in my level of work out and always left feeling worn out.
I have been a member for 7 years and cannot remember the original commitment, but, I think it was one year.
I joined to focus on my fitness and upgrade from my home gym. I needed a space to push me out of my comfort zone.
I would recommend it--paying for a membership has really motivated me to go and push through the pain.
I would love to see more of the same machines, often they're occupied when I'd like to use them, though I don't typically have to wait long.
I've been wanting to develop a more regular workout routine for myself, and having this gym very close to my home helps me do that.
I haven't had any experience with instructors there, but all the staff have been very welcoming.
I was able to get a month to month subscription, which I appreciated, and the sign up process was very simple and straightforward.

Want to loose weight and build muscle at the same time to help with my fibromyalgia
The vibe is awesome, People working there are great, always available t o help ya
More classes and activities will be ideally.
Loose weight and build muscle and get my level of T hight
I did not ask for any instructor, I seen some of them interacting with people,
I choose the year membership based on my needs and goals
I joined because I really wanted to make a positive life change. The location was also very near my home.
I would recommend the location (and have) to my friends who live near me. They all have been with me before as well and do enjoy the facility.
I find a lot of the time that most of the equipment has been left without a cleaning. Obviously this could cause anybody discomfort when trying to work out.
I joined to make a change to my unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle. PL has definitely given me the encouragement to continue working hard at improving my health. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and have themselves given me great motivation for continuing my journey.
I unfortunately have not had the privilege of working with an instructor yet.
The commitment process is seamless. In fact, when I first joined and wanted to give it a try I simply opted for the lowest-cost option. Eventually, as I enjoyed going I decided to join the membership that allowed for me to bring guests. It is a really simple process and the staff will always help answer any and all questions related to memberships that you have.
I need to get the body fit and lose some weight and gain some muscles. I want to focus myself after recently graduated.
I would recommend it and It is near my home and deaf friendly. I can chat with friends from farwaway
I wish they could add weight scale in the locker room.
My goal is to get body fit and gain muscles and eat healthy foods and gain legs strength
No experience. I wish we can have deaf or ASL user for instructors.
payment plans like have to pay for monthly, package.
I'm an avid treadmill runner and needed a cheap gym to continue such. I hate wasting a lot money of gyms, as I solely use the treadmill.
On a budget - yes! Looking for more glam? Er, mayyyyybe.
It definitely has the basics, and the employees are nice enough. For $10 a month, it's an incredible deal.
That said, you're not getting a pool, sauna, or any sort of speciality equipment.
However, it's open 24 hours!
Enforce the no cellphone rule. Nothing is more annoying than some chatty Kathy coming on the treadmill next to mine (when ALL THE OTHER ONES ARE OPEN) and telling her life story to a friend. For HOURS.
Stop cleaning the treadmill while I'm running on it. That's so distracting, and the cleaner you use makes me gag.
To simply improve my running speed, endurance and body tone. With copious amounts of treadmills, this gym is perfect.
I signed up for a no commitment, $10/month plan. I simply signed some paperwork and provided by bank/debit info. I've cancelled in the past and had no issues, so it's definitely not one of those "gotcha!" gyms that somehow keep charging you forever.
For the reasonable price/month.I wanted to get a gym experience without judgment/
Yes, it is a great gym for $10 a month. They do not judge at this gym.
Locker rooms could be a little tidier or smell fresher, but I mean it is a locker room.
The gym is never too crowded so it gives me the chance to go through everything without having to wait.
They have all been nice and cordial. They are very helpful and will check on you.
Easy sign up, can do in person or simply online. They process is straight forward.
I wanted to get in a better shape and I felt going to a gym was the best option.
I wouldn’t recommend it. I dont feel they have many machines, only cardio.
I feel they could have more classes or more trainers available
My goal was to get in better shape (lose weight). It’s helping me by providing me with a space to work out.
I have never engaged with any instructors. I do not feel they are very available.
I signed up online and there was a 1 year commitment. If you want to get out early there is a fee
