Perfectly located. Very clean, updated equipment. Great atmosphere. Excellent place to workout. Committed members, excellent trainers and friendly staff.
The basement level contains the women's locker room, coat check, stretching area, and additional free weights and machines. The third and fourth levels have cardio machines and stretching areas. They have great spin & yoga classes.
This place is incredibly crowded, good luck finding a bench during peak hours. Classes are super crowded. Try doing a yoga class without hitting your neighbor.
This is a great gym if you're looking for many group training classes, great massages, steam room, several floors of machines (so you'll not be waiting for machines) and a clean environment. The gym is multilevel. Street-level houses the cafe, check-in, and some weight machines.
Yoga classes instructors are the best. I enjoyed my experiences with all of them.
The signup process is straightforward. 1 year commitment you get discounted prices. However you can also do month to month.

Nice location, best facility, best bathroom, and great lifestyle and interior, everything is nice there.
I would recommend it because it is a great gym and fantastic gym equipment. Everything is just nicer and easier to use.
I would say the staff keep trying to sell me personal trainer would be my main complain.
My goal is to keep gaining muscle at a realistic pace without using any protein.
i did not had any experiences with personal trainer
I walked and I signed up. It was simple.
Excellent equipment and great selection of work out classes and top tier work out instructor.
I would recommend it if you plan to use the gym 4 times a week or more. Or you really needed the best equipment and facility.
The price is steep. Also only 2 guess pass a year, which I feel is absurd.
I am trying to get lean, and slightly more muscle. Not trying to be too buff.
I had good experiences with the yoga instructors, they are all very knowledgeable.
I did an online free trial for 3 days. Before I officially joined. Just monthly commitments.
I joined because the location is convenient and the gym is clean and professional.
Yes. I usually take 3 barre classes there a week and have found most of the instructors are fantastic. Friendly staff, too.
I could use a few more early morning class choices but otherwise, it's great.
My goal is to keep in shape and the classes and my individual workouts do just that.
Most of the barre instructors are fantastic. Great workouts - challenging and even after two years 3x a week, I'm challenged with new routines and movements.
I signed up for an annual membership a few years ago. I don't recall the the commitment required.
I joined this Equinox location because it was convenient to my office. They offered a mix of group classes and had excellent facilities and amenities including towel service.
I would absolutely NOT recommend this Equinox location. Perhaps because of its location, it gets incredibly crowded at all times of the day - before, during, and after work. There is never enough equipment. The trainers interrupt members' workouts to borrow equipment for their clients. It is not uncommon to be tapped on the should 3-4 times during a workout and asked if a trainer can work in their client. Classes are also scheduled at odd times. For the price, its pretty outrageous to only have two sets of barbells and to be bothered by trainers during every workout.
Increase weight equipment, offer more convenient class times (5pm) and instruct trainers to treat members like paying customers and not inconveniences for their sessions.
My goal is sustainable weight training - to maintain health, strength, and flexibility.
I used a trainer for a few months after joining - she was great. Got me on a regular schedule that I have continued on my own.
One year minimum, fees were waived during a sale special.
I joined to have access to group fitness and yoga classes in order to lose weight.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fitness and/or yoga classes because the quality and frequency of the classes is excellent, and it is good value for frequent class-goers.
The flooring could be updated, more classes and more time slots would be great, longer yoga classes.
My goals include weight lost, toning, strength, and confidence. Going to my gym 4-6 times per week has helped me achieve all these goals.
The vast majority of instructors are excellent in their teaching style and fitness knowledge. I have been dissatisfied with a few instructors but they are the minority.
An initiation fee (waived), and a 1-year contract for a membership.
They had great classes. Many people would talk about equinox and how great the facilities were and I was impressed
I would, highly recommend the group classes and the numerous amount of classes. The facilities were also nice
The space is not that big so that was a disadvantage to me. Be aware that you are charged different amounts per the gym you go to.
My goals was to maintain a healthy lifestyle and remain fit
Had great experiences overall with my instructors. They were all very helpful
I signed up through work, but it was not that extensive
I needed a gym that's close to my apartment and has power racks with relatively low wait times.
The amenities are top notch, and the service is great. The wait times for the powerracks are minimal at night.
Not much room for improvement aside from needing safety bars on the benches.
I'm a competitive powerlifter, and the only requirements I have are a variety of barbells and a power rack.
I have not worked with any instructors beyond trial.
For my membership, not commitment nor initial fee was required.
Because of the club/gym atmosphere. It's extremely nice and clean, they have all the newest equipment.
yes, because of the atmosphere and luxury. Staff is kind and the gym is well equipped. they have a nice pool which is nice after a workout
The lockeroom could be improved and they could add a sauna or steam room
It helps me achieve them because its an expensive gym so I force myself to go
I do not have any experience with instructors because I have not needed it
there is a membership fee and then you pay monthly.
I heard great things about how big and airy the space was, not crowded during peak times, and had a salt water indoor pool.
Yes, big and airy the space was, not crowded during peak times, and had a salt water indoor pool.
It was expensive and I did not like that you had to bring your own lock. Some other gyms have built in locks.
My goals are to have a consistent, clean and affordable place to workout. It is helping all but the affordability part!
Wanted to get in shape and it was a gym with a great reputation. It was very new when I joined originally.
If you want an adequate gym with all the machines and classes and the cache of belonging to an Equinox join here.
It is a somewhat cramped gym space. There is not a great place to stretch without being on tp of people during busy periods.
My goal was to lose weight and be in better shape and I was able to do that b working with ne of their great trainers
Awesome instructors, some of the best in town.
One year commitment. Not cheap by any means.
I needed a local gym that had classes for better value than a boutique spot like SoulCycle.
It depends. This location is usually over full and I would hope the membership team would stop adding people. That said, I think the classes are great.
Fewer new members (at least until they establish another gym in the area).
Remaining fit, staying energized during the work week.
There are several great instructors: Jillian Wright and Diane Finkelday are my favorites.
A one-year commitment with an entry fee. The gym is pricey but I was referred so my entry fee was waived. As far as classes go, belonging to Equinox is actually one of the cheaper monthly options.
Equinox is one of the best gyms in NYC. I joined this location when it was new so I felt it wouldn't be as crowded as some other locations
I wouldn't recommend it any more or less than I would any other Equinox if you live or work in the area.
The layout of the gym is strange but that's not really something that can be fixed.
It's close to work so it helps me maintain an active lifestyle which was my goal.
I haven't taken any classes at this location.
1 year commitment which is kind of crap. I've now moved to a building with a gym inside of it and I can't get out of my contract which is annoying.
I joined for the classes and the luxiourous amenities. they have clean steam room and showers which are very beneficial as well.
yes. clean, nice, enjoyable. the amenities are luxurious and you feel as though you're at a spa.
The price is extremely too high and each year it is increasing for no apparent reason. the price is as much as a car lease.
My goals are to get into and stay in shape. the gym is helping me by having various types of classes and equipment.
I took nicole steen's zumba class. it was very fun and motivating. i thoroughly enjoyed all her classes
sign up process was very long and gruesome. I had to talk to numerous people and come back on different days.
I joined solely for fitness purposes almost 15 years ago. I joined the multi-gym package.
Not any longer. The chain has gone done in quality and cleanliness over the year as it has expanded. Furthermore. maintenance people are constantly underfoot and this often poses a real danger. The staff is very nice, but the facilities are beginning to show their age as are the classes
equipment often in need of service, and the price is twice that of most similar gym chains in New York City.
Fitness is my only goal and any gym would help me achieve that.
Many of the trainers are excellent. An equal number are completely inexperienced
I believe there is a fee to sign up and a monthly fee that can be canceled
I joined because it was the only gym I found where members were actually using the machines to work out instead of sitting on their phones texting, or taking up two machines with their Sunday newspaper.
I highly recommend this gym because they have experienced trainers on the floor to help people get through their reps, the bathroom is equipped with Kiehl's products, razors, and tampons and the equipment and facilities are kept impeccably clean.
The only thing that could really be improved would be the size of the lockers as I often have to use two or three to get my book bag and gym bag to fit.
My goals are to maintain an active lifestyle and since this gym is near my work, I can go in before or after work before getting onto the train to go home.
William Gregory is a trainer there and he helped me not only through each workout, but through any injuries I had and helped me develop a healthy eating plan. He also is very helpful in helping me understand why we go from each exercise to the next.
The signup process was quick and painless, they waived the initiation fee because my friend is a member, but I've heard they will also waive it for veterans. I pay monthly.
